Jayvin Leonardo Olivas is the winner of our 9 & over “Make Your Own Museum in a Shoe Box” hosted by the Cassia County Historical Museum. Jayvin’s parents are Jade & Raquel Olivas of Burley. Thank you Jayin for entering his mini museum “Hunter’s Paradise”. Congratulations Jayvin.
Hudson Dayley is our winner of the Boy Bike during 
our Bicycle, Fire and Water Safety Festival that was held 
Saturday, July 15 here at the Cassia County Historical Museum. Hudson is the son of Jeff Dayley of Albion.
 Vayda Fernau is the winner of our 5-8 “Make Your Own Museum in a Shoe Box” hosted by the Cassia County Historical Museum. Vayda is pictured with her father, Kolby Fernau. Thank you Vayda for entering her mini museum “Pocahontas Beach”. Congratulations Vayda.

The Cassia County Story

Cassia County is located along the Snake River in South Central Idaho. It is the 8th largest in area, covering 2,557 Square miles. Cassia County was created in 1872 and included parts of Twin Falls and Power counties. Burley has been the county seat since 1918 when it was moved from Albion. Within its borders is a variety of elevations. The highest peak is Cache Peak with an elevation of 10,339 feet. The seven towns in Cassia County are, Burley, Declo, Albion, Oakley, Malta, Almo and Elba.
